Saving

We have collection points across Ipswich and Suffolk where you can pay in your savings. To start saving you will need to join the credit union. You can deposit cash, cheques, or pay-in by debit card. Please note: by law we cannot accept payment by credit card. To make regular savings payments easier you can setup a standing order or payroll deduction. We can also receive Bank Automated Clearing System (BACS) transfers from employers if you would like us to process all of your wages.

You can also pay in using a PayPoint card at local shops. You choose how much to pay in, as little or much as you like, weekly or monthly. There are no charges for depositing or withdrawing money.

Our Payment Choices leaflet gives more information about how and where you can pay into your credit union.

Credit Unions do not pay interest on savings, but as a member of the credit union you may be entitled to a share of any dividend the union pays to its members.

Unless you have an outstanding loan you can withdraw cash whenever you like, although we do need some notice to get your cash ready. If you wish to withdraw cash after a loan has been partly paid off, click here for details and the form you will need to use.

Your savings also entitle you to free life insurance.

Security

Your savings are safe with us. Credit Unions are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, and savings are fully covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, so you can be sure your money is safe and protected by law.
